Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Kitchen.
Caleb, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in a very automotive household combined with animal rescue, the upbringing I had has led me to have a strong passion for anything mechanical (which has passed down to my children as well!), the inability to not stop for turtles or brake for squirrels, and every day try to teach my children to lead with love to live the life you deserve!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life will always give you challenges! My parents divorced when I was a young age and I had to make decisions that a young teen should not have had to, but I would not be who I am today without the lessons. My little family has been through low income housing, basements, and plenty of other situations that were less than ideal. Everything gives more perspective and appreciation for the small moments and peace.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I fix cars! From showing the ever aging population how to navigate the menus, to changing brakes on your mothers Ford, all the way to rebuilding the carburetor on vintage 40’s vehicles, our shop tries to handle all tasks big or small. I’m very proud to manage an excellent team after working beside them for years. Point blank – we solve problems for our small town and love doing it!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I figured out early in life that living with regrets is harder than never taking the risk, but you will never escape either feeling. Kiss the girl, ride the motorcycle, try that weird dish whose name you cannot pronounce – you’ll learn something new about yourself!
