Meet Elisha Lieto of Tree by the Sea Counseling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisha Lieto.

Hi Elisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began working in the social work field in 2001 and then transitioned into a substance abuse counselor with a focus on this as well as trauma specialist. I now work with all cooocurring mental health disorders. I decided to start my own private practice after working so many years in the field within so many organizations including ones in Chicago where I lived for 7 years. Currently I own my own practice and have a full team of 9 therapists. We work with local agencies to help within our community ie but not excluding Recovery events ( in pictures) raise mental health awareness in schools as pictured, sponsor therapy dogs in local schools. Do Food drives to support our local food bank, Soonsor local
youth sports. We helped with other local organizations to help young teen girls with back to school clothes to name some of the things we do.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Learning how to balance being a mother of three, One child being born during my grad school program and having a newborn and two other children as I navigated school, work, internship, and beginning my own business. Gratuated with honors, no late assignments, and back to school and internship two weeks after delivery of my son even with compliactions during my preganancy and lethal birth complications.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Tree by the Sea Counseling?
