Community Highlights: Meet Chance Wymer of Second Chance Tiles LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chance Wymer.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I like to think I have a unique story, I moved to northern Michigan almost 9 years ago to change my life. See I struggled with addiction, so I came up here to go to rehab, after that I found myself in Boyne City where I started learning the tile trade. Fast forward a few years, I now have my own company with multiple employees, and more work than I can handle.
We pride ourselves in doing the best quality work, along with giving our customers the best communication.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Theirs been numerous struggles, number one is starting. I started with nothing, sleeping on park benches, my first clothes after I got sober were donations. Building a successful business is hard, there were days in the beginning where I’d work 14-18 hours then sleep in my truck, then go right back to work.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We pride ourselves in the best quality/custom work. We’re known for doing fantastic work, and great communication with customers.
Really caring about the work sets us apart from most, I tell my guys “you know when something isn’t right, take the extra hour and do it right.”
We offer design, anything tile related, we specialize in shower and bathroom remodeling and design.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Quality isn’t cheap
