Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Webster.
Hi Eric, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve spent a lifetime in business. Many years in the hospitality industry where I worked, managed and ultimately owned my own restaurant.
In 1989, we relocated to Grand Rapids, and I began a 30+ year career in residential real estate.
Having always had curiosity for spiritual and metaphysical things, I became an ordained Coptic Minister in 2012. Was trained and given Level III Reiki Attunements (Reiki Master Level).
Shortly after that, I was trained to be able to work in the Akashic Record, which contains the complete history of your soul. All lifetimes, past, present and future.
About 12-years ago, I trained and became certified as a Lifestyle Engineer/ Hypnotherapist. I work with clients all over North America to assist in resetting/overcoming behavioral patterns that people no long want. The Virtual Gastric Band is a significant part of my practice. It’s a hypnotherapy based reset of the relationship with eating and with food. (Clinically trialed in the UK and shown to be 95% effective).
I’m 72 years old, married with two grown kids. Beth and I live on 40-acres in the country with a house and barn full of resuce animals that are now in their forever home.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course not. I’m human and that life has ups and downs.
But I’ve found that if I keep putting one foot in front of the other, I make progress.

My practice has essentially a dual track of services, though they compliment each other and are somewhat entertwined.
Hypnosis ~ where I help people find their power, eliminate old programming that was likely well intentioned, but many times wrong headed, and in the process to eliminate behaviors they no longer wish to have. Examples: Smoking Cessation, Virtual Gastric Band, Fears and Phobias of all shapes and sizes, Academic Performance, overcoming exam anxiety… and so many more.
I’m listed with Three Best Rated for hypnosis in Grand Rapids and have been for a number of years.
I also work in and deliver channelled messages from the Akashic Record.
In that realm, I am never sure who or what will show up in a reading. But often there are insights and relationships from past lives that are either wonderfully impactful, or contribute to some level of dysfunction in their current life.
Best American Psychics and American Association of Psychics and Healers LLC have honored me by listing in their Best Of list.
I delivered two workshops at the Canadian Hypnosis Conference in Toronto some years ago, and am currently ‘working’ on writing 3 books.
Moments of pride come from hearing from clients how the work we did together changed their lives.
For the last 12-years, this work has been my full-time focus and career. I think that sets me somewhat apart as it seems that more than a few practitioners seem to approach it as a part-time or hobby, rather than as a full time profession.
Despite some clients who were skeptical about their ability to be hypnotised, I’ve not met anyone who couldn’t be taken into a hypnotic state where good outcomes can be created.

What’s next?
It seems like there’s been a significant increase in the number of people who during Covid, found a sense of “there must be more to life”, and have started some form of spiritual and healing journey.
So my plans for the future is to contine to fine tune my offerings, learn new skills and modalities to add to my practice and likely do more speaking, writing and teaching.
