Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Krantz.
Hi Lisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
*Started teaching dance lessons over 35 years ago in my parent’s basement
*Have been teaching in Rochester since 1997
*9 years as the Business Director at a local dance academy where she substantially expanded the business
*opened VIBE Dance Academy in 2021
*Lisa’s dance career evolved with training, competing and instructing at local dance studios
*Her repertoire includes acrobatics, ballet, conditioning, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, pointe, tap, stretching and strength training
*She has been instructing in-studio within the tri-county area for over 26 years and thoroughly understands the functionality of various dance programs and the overall dance industry
*Lisa continues to judge for competitive, professional, pom, recreational competitions and auditions
*She has performed professionally domestically and internationally
*Lisa is an advocate of promoting strong technique while keeping class time challenging, enjoyable and interesting. She attends classes to maintain flexibility, choreography and technique
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
*No, it has not been a smooth road, in 2019 I had a business partner who was stealing lying and didn’t have the same morals and ethics as I did
*The business dissolved and I opened VIBE Dance Academy!
*In 2023 I faced 2 types of cancer, for almost 2 years had 25 chemotherapy sessions a major surgery and launched another business in the medical field to help others facing a similar struggle
*My friends, family and VIBE Dance Academy kept me going! I would not be here today without them all!
