Today we’d like to introduce you to Eva Kashat.
Hi Eva, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started back in college at Wayne State University. I was eager to gain as much experience and practical knowledge as possible to prepare for internships. But because it was during COVID, many internship programs were shut down, so I had to take the initiative to teach myself. I knew I needed hands-on experience, and I also wanted a creative outlet — I’ve always loved to cook, so I started a food blog.
That’s where I fell in love with content creation. I began filming recipe videos, styling food, taking photos — and over time, that passion grew. After college, I went on to work in various roles — from corporate and nonprofit to agency work — supporting both small businesses and major clients. Across every space, I kept noticing a consistent need for strong, strategic marketing.
Eventually, I transitioned from food blogging to UGC so I could work on a broader range of creative projects. Now, I do it full-time and run my own business — combining creativity, strategy, and storytelling in everything I produce.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every industry comes with its challenges — whether it’s retaining clients, bringing in new ones, managing a team, or making sure the business stays profitable. There’s always something to juggle. But at the end of the day, it’s all worth it when you truly love what you do. Passion is what makes the hard work feel meaningful.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a full-time UGC creator and professional product photographer based in Michigan with over 5 years of experience and 200+ brand collaborations. I specialize in creating clean, high-performing photo and video content that feels both elevated and relatable. My background includes working with brands across industries — from household names like Hershey’s, Del Monte, and Campbell’s to pet brands like Pawco and Dog Friendly Co, as well as health, beauty, and lifestyle companies.
I’m specifically known for my ability to deliver thoughtful, high-quality visuals that tell a story and convert — whether it’s a cozy product feature, a before-and-after transformation, or lifestyle content that brings a brand’s message to life.
What sets me apart is not only my eye for detail and style, but also how seriously I treat every collaboration. I approach each project with care, professionalism, and a deep respect for the brand’s voice and audience. But more importantly, I love to build relationships. I’m most proud of the long-term partnerships I’ve built over the years — many brands return to work with me again because they know I’ll go the extra mile and deliver content that truly resonates.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is don’t give up. Start small and grow from there. It’s okay to take gifted collaborations in the beginning to build your portfolio, get experience, and develop your style. Everyone starts somewhere.
One thing I always say is you have to take the leap if you truly believe in this path. I quit my job with no backup plan — I put my full faith in God and prayed every single day. It wasn’t easy, but that trust, consistency, and belief carried me to where I am today.
Stay patient, stay grounded, and stay consistent — and most importantly, don’t let fear talk you out of your future.
