Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalen Ray.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Originally from Michigan, I moved to Atlanta in 2018. Once I moved to Atlanta i got into acting. Ive been featured on shows like American Soul, Star, BMF & more. In between acting I decided to start my own podcast called “Sip&Chat” where I interview different influencers, reality stars, & personalities. I did 3 seasons of the podcast and took a 2 year hiatus. The podcast is officially back for season 4 and is currently airing on YouTube. This season will feature guest like Mama Vette, Erica Dixon, Judi Jai, & more.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest obstacles I face while doing the podcast is being on other people’s time at times. When I first decided to do the podcast, I started it with two friends who could not see eye to eye mainly because of scheduling purposes. We ended up decided to scrap the project but eventually I decided to do it on my own.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’d like to consider myself an entertainer overall. I’ve very proud of my accolades I gained from acting rather it was a role on a television show or a music video. I’ve done both in Atlanta. I also am proud of the growth of my podcast Sip&Chat. The guest list is getting better and better each season. I feel like what sets me apart from others is that I am able to go in many different lanes instead of being stuck in a box.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons I have learned is that you have to keep pushing and working toward your goals rather you feel that you have the capability or not. The more stagnant you are, the most time you will waste.
