Community Highlights: Meet Arielle Roth of Multiple: Elemental Marketing, Arielle Roth Boudoir, Arielle Roth Photography, Arielle Roth Makeup Artistry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arielle Roth.

Hi Arielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career close to 10 years ago in corporate marketing, specifically in the hospitality and tourism sector. I worked in hotel marketing, then moved to regional marketing with a Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), where I managed campaigns for incredible partners like Pure Michigan and TripAdvisor. During that time, I was also freelancing on the side, which allowed me to explore photography more seriously.

It was a shift in perspective for me, but photography quickly became something I truly loved. I combined my marketing skills with a passion for capturing moments, and eventually, photography became the core of what I do today alongside marketing consulting and primarily website design for companies.

Then came COVID, which had a massive impact on the hospitality and tourism industries. I was let go from my position, and I pivoted into a marketing director role in the cannabis industry. While I learned a lot in that role, I knew in 2021 it was time to take the leap and go all-in on working for myself and growing my businesses. That’s when I fully committed to Elemental Marketing, which I had established back in 2016, as well as Arielle Roth Photography, Boudoir, and Makeup Artistry.

Looking back, I realize everything I’ve done – from corporate to freelance to entrepreneurship – has shaped the way I approach my businesses today. I’m grateful for every experience, because each step was a part of my journey toward doing what I truly love and helping others along the way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been far from a smooth road, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The struggles have shaped me into who I am today and taught me so much about resilience, adaptability, and trusting the process.

When I started, I was juggling multiple jobs – doing corporate marketing, waitressing and bartending, and also freelancing and building up my photography business. It was a lot of late nights and a lot of figuring things out as I went. Then, when COVID hit and I found myself unexpectedly let go from my position, I was really forced to start rethinking my path forward.

In March of 2021, I also lost my best friend. That was a turning point for me. His passing pushed me to get sober, which led me to really take a hard look at my priorities. He’d always encouraged me to work for myself, and after losing him, I realized how much I was holding back on that dream, and also missing out on the moments that really mattered in life – including genuine happiness.

There have definitely been growing pains, too. Building my own brand and balancing multiple businesses while trying to find my voice has been an ongoing challenge. The work-life balance is always a moving target, and there have been moments where I’ve had to push through burnout or self-doubt. But in the end, every setback, every hard moment, has taught me something valuable. I’ve learned to lean into my strengths, trust my instincts, and be kind to myself when things don’t go as planned.

I think the biggest lesson along the way has been that nothing worth having comes easily, and sometimes the challenges are exactly what you need to push forward and grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m really proud of the businesses I’ve built, each one has its own unique place, but they all center around helping people feel confident, empowered, and seen. Here’s a quick rundown of what I do and what each business brings to the table:

Arielle Roth Boudoir: This is where I get to bring out my passion for empowerment. Boudoir photography has become such an important part of my work because I’ve seen firsthand how it can change how a woman sees herself. It’s about helping women embrace their bodies, their sexuality, and their confidence. I offer a safe, supportive environment where women can have a blast, feel pampered with hair and makeup, and walk away with images that show them just how incredible they are. I’m most proud of the fact that so many of my clients tell me their boudoir session was life-changing. It’s not just about the photos – it’s about how they feel afterward.

Arielle Roth Photography: I specialize in wedding and lifestyle photography, with a focus on capturing genuine, heartfelt moments. My style is documentary, authentic, and personal. I work with couples and individuals who want more than just posed photos; I aim to tell the story of their day or their life in a way that feels true to them. My favorite part? The connection. I love being able to build that trust with my clients, making them feel comfortable and like they can truly be themselves in front of the camera.

Arielle Roth Makeup Artistry: Makeup has always been a huge part of my photography work, but I wanted to offer it separately too, so I started offering makeup services for weddings, special events, and photoshoots. My specialty is soft glam, and I love how makeup can enhance a person’s natural beauty. Whether it’s for a bride on her wedding day or a boudoir client, my goal is to make them feel like the best version of themselves.

Elemental Marketing: This is where I get to combine my marketing background with my passion for helping small businesses. I work with a variety of clients to help them grow their brands, whether it’s through social media, website development, or creative campaigns. I’ve always loved the power of storytelling, and that’s exactly what I help businesses do: tell their story in a way that resonates with their audience and drives engagement. I’ve worked with clients like a retired NFL player for branding, as well as a global MRO distributor for website design – and honestly, as a small freelancer from Bay City, Michigan – that’s pretty rad.

What sets me apart? Honestly, it’s the combination of creativity and empathy. I truly care about my clients. I’m not just here to deliver a service; I’m here to help them feel heard, seen, and empowered, whether it’s through photography, makeup, or marketing. And I think that’s what people resonate with.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the fact that each of my businesses reflects my values – authenticity, empowerment, and connection. Everything I do is built around those pillars, and I think that’s why people trust me. They know that I’m not just out here trying to sell them something; I’m invested in their journey, their story, and their success.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s that my work is about more than just creating beautiful images or successful marketing campaigns. It’s about making people feel like they matter, and giving them the confidence to live their truth – whether that’s by stepping in front of the camera or growing a business they love.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I’d say the most important quality to my success has been resilience. It’s what has kept me going through the ups and downs, especially when things didn’t go as planned. Life, and business, have thrown a lot of challenges my way – whether it grief, getting sober, navigating career shifts, or dealing with self-doubt. But I’ve learned that it’s not about how many times you fall, it’s about getting back up, learning from the setbacks, and continuing to move forward.

Along with resilience, I’d say authenticity has played a huge role. I never want to present a version of myself or my businesses that doesn’t align with who I truly am. I’ve always been committed to staying true to my values, whether I’m in a photo session, marketing meeting, or just having a conversation with a client. People connect with authenticity – it builds trust, and I think that’s what keeps clients coming back.

So, for me, a combination of resilience and authenticity has been the foundation of my success. They work hand in hand. When things get tough, I lean into my resilience to keep going, but I also make sure I stay grounded in who I am and what I stand for. That balance has been key for me.
