Jamie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi, I’m Jamie! Better known as Jamie Jean Beauty. I’m a licensed cosmetologist with over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. A decade ago, I took a leap of faith and launched my own business, which has since evolved into The Jessa Salon and Spa following a recent relocation and rebranding. In 2015, I expanded my passion for beauty by creating Jamie Jean Cosmetics, my own professional customized makeup line.
Since 2019 I’ve been a balayage educator, sharing my passion and techniques with fellow stylists. Teaching and mentoring others in the art of balayage has been incredibly rewarding, and I love helping fellow stylists grow and succeed in their craft.
Behind the chair at my studio The Jessa Salon and Spa, I specialize in balayage, bridal, hair extensions, skincare, and head spa services. My goal is to provide each client with a luxurious and personalized experience that enhances their natural beauty.
I’m deeply committed to staying current with the latest trends and techniques to ensure my clients receive the best care possible. Whether it’s preparing a bride for her special day or helping someone achieve their ideal look, I’m passionate about making people feel confident and radiant.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Owning your own salon is incredibly fulfilling, but it comes with its share of challenges. Balancing all of the things like clients, financial responsibilities, marketing, and staying current with industry trends requires constant dedication. Despite these hurdles, the joy of creating a space where clients feel confident and beautiful makes it all worthwhile.

How do you think about happiness?
What brings me joy is the ability to uplift others through beauty and connection. Whether it’s crafting the perfect balayage, helping a bride feel radiant on her wedding day, or mentoring fellow stylists, I find happiness in making people feel confident and valued. Sharing my passion and creating meaningful experiences for others is what truly fulfills me.
