Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Adam.
Hi Jamie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband and I moved from the Detroit area to Ludington in 2016. I retired as the Concessions Food and Beverage Director for the Palace of Auburn Hills, Pine Knob Music Theater and two of the other smaller ampatheaters in the metro Detroit area. Ludington Bay Brewing was in its final stages of completion when I sent in my resume. I was hired to do outside sales and special events.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opening a new brewery and restaurant is never easy in a tourist town. We opened the week before Memorial Day. Eight years later, you’ll still see some of the very same people who have been here since the beginning!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently focus on large community events. Fundraisers for Ludington’s Lakeshore Food Club. Blessing of the Boats for The Port of Ludington Maritime Museum. Craft Beer launches etc.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t consider yourself “too good” to do something!
