Rising Stars: Meet Donta Linton of Ann Arbor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donta Linton.

Hi Donta, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Honestly, I’ve been drawning for and painting since I was a little kid I started with cartoons and as I got older, it just progressed into other things I started selling art in 2015 and I’ve made over like 400 art pieces and I haven’t stopped and I sell my artwork through Facebook Instagram, Snapchat TikTok you name it and one day I hold you on my own art gallery

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m it hasn’t been a smooth road. I think artist don’t get a lot of credit or make a lot of money how we should so over the years. It’s been hard some days make sales some days. I don’t make sales, but I just continue to stay focused and never give up on my craft.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in a lot of abstract and cartoons and anime. I just enjoy anime and cartoons. It’s always like been my thing and just abstract work and honestly just making different art pieces like from inside of my mind I like to do things that you can’t google and I like to show what I’m seeing in my mind and put it on canvas and I’m just proud that I never gave up on myself and I haven’t given up on my craft and what set me apart from others is that I am just really strong minded and motivated and I really want to just become a great artist

What were you like growing up?
growing up personality wise like just fun, energetic athletic creative always on the move fashion I was just different
