Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicea Davis

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Personal growth is what began my journey. I needed to grow from not knowing who I was in God, as He created me to know and love myself and even those around me with the same love. This is God’s will that we all be loved on the inside and outside. I was lacking half of this journey, so I had to express it through poetry and art. As I healed, I sold my work to others to help them and so I opened an online store to take care of my wellbeing. I wanted to recite my poetry for free but that didn’t work out. I needed to pay bills and keep my time available for perfecting my gift and mental health days were a priority as I was digging deep in my soul to put it on canvas and write my books.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been smoother than others. I was funded by my husband. After we got married, I didn’t pay household bills. But I spent all of my splurging wifey money into the business/ministry. The healing struggle was real and practicing my recitations alone is what I don’t like to do since I feel like no one’s listening subconsciously, even though I’ve healed millions through TV interviews, radio and podcast interviews. I know it’s crazy but that’s me working up wild concoctions in the brain to overcome depression which was the hardest fight to this day!!

Esteem Builders work to help others overcome issues through art and poetry. My book was rated the #1 book to help with overcoming phobias. I have achievemephobia that I face everyday. It’s a long story. The fear doesn’t stop me when it’s in my way is the point. Some say how can you overcome a phobia and have a phobia. It didn’t say erase, The pain went in my soul from a 10 to a 2, but we have our imperfections. We artist have to deal with strong sensitivities daily and nightly for some. But we still put our work out there with imperfections sometimes. I can do all things through the Lord!!

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Go to events that you love business wise and partner with someone who gets it, (your vision) and get a mentor that doesn’t try to bully you or take control of your mission.
