Hi Kristi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey started 10 years ago after discovering the corporate world just wasn’t for me. I wanted to find something more fulfilling where I could make a positive impact. I’ve always had a deep love for celebrating love so becoming an officiant felt like a natural calling.
I’ve always believed that a wedding ceremony is more than just words—it’s a very personal reflection of a couple’s relationship and should be celebrated in a way that feels authentically them.
With so many officiants still offering the same tired 3-4 ceremony scripts, I recognized a major gap—and saw the opportunity to fill it.
Over the years, I’ve built Brooks Wedding Ceremonies into a go-to resource for couples looking for an engaging non-traditional ceremony experience with all the feels. The concept resonated so deeply that today, I’m proud to have a team of 4 additional staff officiants by my side.
But it didn’t stop there. As I worked with engaged couples, I noticed that while couples were pouring their hearts (and budgets) into a beautiful wedding, many weren’t preparing for the lifelong commitment that comes after. Creating a premarital counseling program felt like the missing piece and I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 65 couples as they ready for married life.
Today, I’m not just an officiant—I’m a premarital coach, and champion for authentic, lasting love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like many wedding vendors, navigating the business during the COVID pandemic wasn’t easy. For nearly 18 months, it felt like a ghost town, and once things picked up, it took a couple of years to catch up—balancing rescheduled weddings with newly engaged couples planning theirs.
But with challenges come opportunities for growth. I refined my processes, expanded my team, and learned how to serve my couples even better. Today, Brooks Wedding Ceremonies is stronger, more adaptable, and more committed than ever to creating unforgettable moments.

I’m so excited to have finally launched an 8 week virtual premarital experience for couples who want to go beyond “I do”.
Marriage IRL digs deeper, going beyond the fluff of traditional premarital counseling, diving into real-life topics like communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, and navigating the unexpected.
Engaged couples will walk away feeling more connected, confident, and ready to tackle whatever life throws their way—together.
We’re currently enrolling for our Spring/Summer round being held May 6-June 24 followed by the Fall class taking place September 9-October 28, 2025.
