Check Out Yong Lee’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yong Lee

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey with RoboThink began with a passion for education and a vision to inspire young minds through STEM learning. I’ve always believed that hands-on, interactive learning is one of the most effective ways to engage children and nurture their creativity.

When I discovered RoboThink, I saw an incredible opportunity to bring high-quality robotics and coding education to my community. I launched my business with the goal of making STEM fun and accessible, providing kids with the tools and confidence to develop problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

Starting out, I faced challenges like building brand awareness and finding the right approach to engage both parents and schools. However, through persistence, strategic planning, and a strong belief in the program’s impact, I was able to grow the business. Over time, I established partnerships, expanded class offerings, and created engaging workshops that continue to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.

Today, my focus remains on expanding opportunities for students to explore STEM in a hands-on way, helping them develop not only technical skills but also critical thinking and teamwork. Seeing the excitement in children as they build and program their own robots reminds me why I started this journey—and that’s what keeps me motivated every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with any entrepreneurial journey, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have certainly been challenges along the way, especially when starting RoboThink in a competitive market. One of the biggest hurdles early on was building awareness and trust within the community. Many parents and schools were unfamiliar with the concept of combining robotics and coding into a learning curriculum for children, so we had to put in a lot of effort to demonstrate how engaging and impactful this type of education could be.

Additionally, balancing the logistics of running multiple workshops, managing resources, and ensuring the quality of our classes while growing the business has been a constant challenge. There were times when I had to wear multiple hats – from marketing to teaching to administration – which sometimes felt overwhelming. But with time, I learned to streamline operations and focus on what truly mattered: delivering an excellent educational experience for our students.

Despite these struggles, each challenge has been a learning opportunity. It has made me more resilient and has shaped RoboThink into the organization it is today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At RoboThink, we specialize in providing robotics and coding education for children. We focus on creating fun, hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. What sets us apart is our unique curriculum that blends technology with education in a way that engages kids and encourages them to explore and innovate. I’m most proud of how we’ve helped many students gain confidence in their abilities and sparked an interest in STEM fields that will serve them for years to come.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about your city is the strong sense of community and the vibrant mix of culture and history. It’s easy to find events and places that bring people together, whether it’s through local festivals or diverse restaurants. I also appreciate the green spaces and parks, offering a relaxing break in the middle of the city.
