Today we’d like to introduce you to Bec Koop.
Hi Bec, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As someone who has navigated numerous challenges, hardships, and traumas throughout my life, I have made it my mission to help others along their healing journey. My own experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience, compassion, and the power of transformation.
From the trials of my youth to the struggles I faced in my mid-30s, I endured significant losses, reinvented myself countless times, and confronted some of my deepest fears. Each of these experiences taught me that I was far stronger than I had ever given myself credit for. They also showed me that, in overcoming adversity, I found the strength not just to heal, but to guide others in their own journeys toward healing and empowerment.
I am a firm believer in Carl Jung’s powerful words, “I am not what happened to me; I am what I choose to become.” This quote resonates deeply with me, as it reflects the essence of what I’ve come to understand: that we are not defined by our past, but by the choices we make moving forward. My goal is to help others see this truth in themselves, to empower them to transform their lives, and to remind them that they, too, have the strength to rise above their circumstances.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road I’ve traveled has certainly not been smooth, and I’ve often found myself on the challenging, bumpy, and sometimes perilous path. Along my journey, I’ve faced near-death experiences, totaled vehicles, life-altering injuries, a divorce, the closure of multiple businesses, and a profound transformation in my relationships with alcohol and toxic partners.
However, each of these struggles has revealed invaluable gifts and lessons that I was meant to experience—albeit the hard way. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that true happiness is an inside job, that living in the present moment is essential for mental well-being, and that movement is a profound gift for the body. Above all, I’ve realized that we all have the power to shift our perspective and choose how we respond to life’s challenges.
Through working with a variety of healers and therapists, I’ve also discovered that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing. Some therapeutic modalities are more effective for certain traumas, and I’ve come to understand that flexibility and adaptability are key. Embracing this mindset—letting go of rigid expectations—has brought me immense growth and happiness. It’s been a powerful reminder that healing is a personal journey, and embracing change along the way can lead to profound transformation.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
It’s truly inspiring to see the growing number of energy healers emerging, and I feel honored to be part of this evolving field. What sets me apart is my belief that healing is a deeply personal journey, and, just as I discovered in my own path, people often benefit from a variety of therapeutic modalities.
The work I do with each client is unique, as their needs and the challenges they face can vary from session to session. I take the time to truly connect with each individual, understanding what they need to focus on in the present moment, so that we can tailor our work to address the healing most beneficial for them right now. At times, we explore past traumas, other times we work through anxieties about the future, and sometimes we focus on grounding in the present, discovering the gifts and opportunities before them.
My healing practices incorporate a range of modalities, including Reiki and healing touch, sound healing, breathwork, guided visualizations, and somatic movement. I also offer the option for clients to incorporate plant medicines, such as sacred cacao ceremonies for heart-opening experiences or floral teas to calm the body and expand consciousness. Each session is designed to meet the client where they are, empowering them to move forward on their unique healing journey.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Authenticity is the foundation of meaningful connection, both with others and within ourselves. It is the most important thing you can offer—both to yourself and to your business.
I believe my success with clients stems from my ability to meet them where they are on their journey, offering compassion and understanding without judgment. I am also committed to honesty and transparency, and if I feel there may be a healer better suited to their needs, I will guide them to the right person or resources. My goal is to help my clients build a well-rounded mental health toolkit, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and an open heart.
Each time we work together, I aim for my clients to leave feeling lighter, uplifted, and in a more positive physical and mental space than when we began.
By sharing my own journey, I hope to show my clients that life is not always easy, but it is possible to reinvent oneself when needed. I highlight the power of resilience and self-love, and I aim to provide them with both the empathy and the hope they need to believe in a brighter, more beautiful future. My story serves as a reminder that while pain is real, healing and transformation are just as possible.
