Today we’d like to introduce you to Ky Stewart
Hi Ky, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in June 2024 when I created social media accounts to promote my user-generated content (UGC). Initially, my focus was solely on UGC, but things took an exciting turn when I began landing collaborations and brand deals with different companies.
By November 2024, I realized I wanted to dive in fully and commit to content creation and not just limit myself to just UGC. Since then, I’ve been able to scale my UGC business while also growing as a content creator and building a supportive community. It’s been an incredible experience so far, and I’m committed to continuing this journey to see just how far it can take me!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been as smooth as I imagined. I knew content creation would come with its own challenges, but I didn’t realize just how much goes into it. Editing, lighting, and keeping up with content ideas all played a huge role, and it was overwhelming at first.
It took me about four months to get comfortable talking to the camera, mastering my editing, and figuring out proper lighting. In the beginning, editing a single video would take me forever, but as I worked on it every day, I got faster, and my skills improved tremendously.
Trusting myself to step out of my comfort zone and dive into something completely different was hard to grasp, but it’s been the best decision I’ve made. I’m still improving every day and facing new challenges as they come up, but that’s just part of the journey. The learning curve has been steep, but it’s been so worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a UGC creator and micro-content creator, specializing in wellness and positivity. My focus is on helping people live their best lives while creating engaging and authentic content that resonates with audiences.
What sets me apart is the genuine positivity and authenticity I bring to every project. I aim to create content that not only highlights a brand’s offerings but also inspires viewers to connect with it on a deeper level. Whether it’s an ad or becoming the face of a campaign, I take pride in delivering work that feels real and impactful.
I’m most proud of the positivity my brand embodies and the way it resonates with both my community and the brands I work with. My goal is to bring every brand I collaborate with to life through creative UGC, helping them stand out and truly connect with their audience.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
When it comes to finding a mentor or networking, my advice is to put yourself out there and take advantage of every opportunity to connect with others in your industry. Attend events, join online communities, or engage with people whose work you admire on social media. Sometimes just starting a conversation or asking for advice can open doors you didn’t expect.
What’s worked well for me is connecting with like-minded people who share similar goals. Building relationships with others who understand your journey not only helps you learn but also creates a support system that keeps you motivated. Don’t be afraid to reach out—most people are happy to share their experiences and advice if you approach them with genuine curiosity and respect.
