Life & Work with Too Trill HSG of Westside Detroit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Too Trill HSG

Hi Too Trill HSG, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I fell in love with music when I was about 13 years old, but even still music was around me my whole life. When I turned 17 is when I began taking it seriously and making it my life. I started using music as an outlet to express myself and say the things I couldn’t via texts, calls or etc. I love to make music that people can feel or relate to, it makes me feel more connected to the mass I’m trying to project to. My goal when everything is set and done, I want to be remembered as a generational talent, a once in a lifetime type of experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Even though music can be your passion or first love, its inevitable you’ll definitely run into bumps along the way. Mines would be trying to make ends meet for studio time, buying beats, promo/marketing, building a fanbase. But most of all, over the years, my biggest struggle until recent years was trying to figure out who I were as an artist and how I would use my talent in a positive way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As simple as it sounds, I make music. I lock in, find a beat that fits my mood in that moment, put my Beats headphones and let the beat carry me to find the right words, tone, melody and whatever else I need to make a great song. I feel like my specialty in the artistry business in versatility. And honestly thats the trait of myself that I’m most proud of. I feel like me being able to fit different vibes and match other culture’s energies, helps me standout from the general population of musicians.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel like gratitude in the end will be key to my success. Simply because as an artist the fans are what make you, they’re the ones listening and supporting you, so ultimately you always have to grateful for them because without them it wouldn’t be a you to listen to.
