Rising Stars: Meet Maddie Zumstein of Milford, Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddie Zumstein

Hi Maddie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Jolt Notion Podcast began as an idea in late May, the initial goal for the podcast was for me to get more comfortable speaking publicly and sharing my ideas with others. I began advertising on social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram). From there, I started hanging up fliers in local stores and restaurants in Milford. In late October, I started asking around for podcast sponsorships and landed my very first one with Terraces Flower Farm. From there, my podcast seemed to take off and become more well known. Then, I started interviews with many business owners and started to diversify my podcast audience and expanded across other listening platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify. I got to where I am today because I wasn’t intimidated by other’s opinions of me and went all in.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some struggles that I have faced include trouble with seeking out sponsorships.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Yes, my main focus is my podcast, but I also have a career in modeling. And I have four side jobs as well. I specialize in promoting self growth and self worth within my podcast. I am known for my very hard work ethic and desire to try new things. I am most proud of my time management and goal setting skills because those two characteristics combined have allowed me to achieve the most. My age definitely sets me apart from others. Being 16, a lot of people underestimate what I’m capable of until it’s accomplished. Another skill that sets me apart is
that I don’t give up easily. I am glad I have this skill because it most certainly puts me ahead of others.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Podcasts: I listen to the “Anything Goes” podcast with Emma Chamberlain and the “Moments” podcast with Lexi Hidalgo. Both women who host these podcasts are very honest and empowering while also conveying their message. Both Emma and Lexi inspire me to be the best version of myself and not let anyone change that.

Magazines: Receiving the monthly copies of InStyle and the occasional Vogue magazine inspires me to take unique perspectives and think outside of the box.
