Conversations with Shawn Cox

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawn Cox

Hi Shawn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
About 20 years ago I was in a hip hop band in Highschool. We got offered to DJ a wedding. Not knowing what to do exactly I prepared the best I could. After it went smoothly I realized weddings would be a huge part of my life. After doing it part time for 10-15 years I finally stepped out on my own full time in 2019 after the pandemic and haven’t looked back since!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The covid pandemic was definitely a struggle. But finding new talented DJs to grow the buisness has also been challenging. I’ve also found it hard to deligate the aspects of my business to others yet. I still wear slot of the hats. I’m currently trying to develop and implement processes and standard operating procedures SOPs. But it has been very hard to navigate that. I’m enjoying it though and growing through it all.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a part of the entertainment and service industry. Mainly weddings but we also do corporate events. Pricing ourselves on bringing cutting edge technologies to events. From our dynamic dance floor packing Djs to one of a kind photo booth options we like to make sure it’s not just a party not a Bash!

How do you think about happiness?
