Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor & Payton Sanford

Hi Taylor & Payton, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Taylor’s journey in the beauty industry began in high school, where she loved doing her sister’s and friends’ hair and makeup for school dances. This passion inspired her to attend cosmetology school and turn her hobby into a career.

After cosmetology school, Taylor worked at a popular makeup company, gaining extensive experience with a variety of skin types, tones, and ages. This eventually led to specializing in bridal makeup.

Taylor’s sister and business partner, Payton, started assisting on jobs by cleaning brushes, applying lashes, and perfecting lip colors. Inspired by the experience, Payton decided to attend esthetician school. In 2022, she joined Taylor full-time as a makeup artist, and together, they launched their bridal makeup company, Stellar Beauty Co. They’ve been a dynamic duo ever since!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! The marketing side has always been a struggle for us. Posting content consistently and figuring out how to advertise effectively doesn’t come naturally, so it’s something we’re constantly working on.

Thankfully, we’ve been so blessed with amazing clients who spread the word about us. Word-of-mouth referrals have been a huge part of our growth, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the trust and support our clients have shown us.

There’s been a lot of trial and error along the way, but every challenge has taught us something new. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s so rewarding to see how far we’ve come!

At Stellar Beauty Co, we specialize in bridal makeup and take pride in creating timeless, classic looks for our clients on their big day. Our focus is on enhancing natural beauty, so every bride feels confident and radiant without feeling overly done.

We’re known for our attention to detail and our ability to create a personalized experience. Every client is unique, and we take the time to understand their vision and ensure they feel completely at ease. What truly sets us apart is the vibe we bring to the process—it’s like hanging out with your sisters or your best girlfriends. We’re all about making the getting-ready experience feel fun, relaxed, and like a stress-free hangout session.

We’re most proud of the relationships we’ve built with our clients. Many share how much they appreciate not just the makeup but the calm, supportive, and uplifting energy we bring to their big day. It’s so rewarding to know we’ve helped someone feel amazing and confident during such an important moment in their life.

Working as sisters is also a big part of what makes us unique. Our seamless, team-oriented approach combined with our genuine “girls’ girl” vibe helps create an unforgettable experience for every client.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, we were both super creative and had a natural love for beauty and fashion. Taylor was always experimenting with hair and makeup, whether it was trying new looks on herself or doing her friends hair & makeup. Payton shared that same passion and loved helping out, whether it was organizing or perfecting the little details that made everything come together.

Personality-wise, Taylor was the more outgoing and bubbly one, always ready to strike up a conversation, while Payton had a laid-back confidence and a knack for connecting with people in a calm, genuine way. We were always super close and had that classic sister dynamic— arguing one minute but inseparable the next.

We both shared an eye for aesthetics, whether it was decorating our rooms, putting together outfits, or obsessing over beauty trends. That love for creating and making things beautiful is something that’s stayed with us and evolved into what we do now!
