Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Hayman
Hi Kyle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started making music back during the pandemic in 2020. At first, it was something I was doing cause I was bored, and it quickly grew to something I fell in love with. I was always a music head. I used to listen to music for hours a day, but I didn’t start making it until 2020. When I started this journey, I started ripping off some of my favorite rappers, such as Drake and Lil Durk, but I quickly started adapting my style and taking inspiration from Kanye and Tyler the Creator. This musical Journey has taught me that something worth having is challenging to obtain. I worked very hard to get my music to a point where I found it to be good, and even still, to this day, I’m trying out new sounds. I went from drill to trap music, conscious rap to emo rap, psychedelic pop, and more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road has been nothing but smooth. Somedays, I wake up and ask myself why I still do this. Is this journey even worth going down anymore? A lot of my struggles were internal, not external. Self-confidence and self-love were things I struggled with on this journey; I am learning not to let other people influence me in a wrong way, not to let their words hurt me, and to not change for anyone because I perfect the way I am. Another hurdle would be financial problems, only sometimes having the resources or backing to help propel my career to the next level. Still, I work with what I have and don’t cry or complain about what I don’t enjoy doing what I love cause there is no telling how long I can do this to try to leave my impact on the world if my music can touch one person in this world on a deeper level, then this was all worth doing.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So, my music is a blend of emo-trap music. Travis Scott, Kanye West, and Tyler, the creators, inspire me. I’m proud of my 2023 album HOLD ON, WAIT A MINUTE. That album took me a lot of time to write and record, and much love was put into the project. I also mixed the vocals. Well, though the album has its rough spots and isn’t perfect, I am proud that I was the album to bring the experience to people, and to hear such positive feedback on the album gave me the confidence and motivation to keep going.
How do you think about happiness?
Making music, knowing that my craft makes people happy and brings joy to people, I have inspired other people with my sound and inspired them also to make music and chase their dreams
