Meet Hayden Hahn of The Share Kindness Project

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayden Hahn

Hi Hayden , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always felt a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the world. It wasn’t until I attended a captivating live show at Disney Parks that the spark ignited. The performance was more than just entertainment; it was a celebration of kindness, empathy, and the power of human connection. Inspired by this uplifting experience, I realized that I could channel my passion into a tangible force for good.

Initially, I envisioned The Share Kindness Project as a modest endeavor within my church community. The plan was to run a short-term campaign, spreading acts of kindness for a few weeks. However, as I delved deeper into the world of non-profits, a broader vision emerged. Why limit such a powerful initiative to a fleeting moment? Why not create a sustainable movement that would touch lives year-round?

After careful consideration, I decided to take the leap and establish The Share Kindness Project as a 24/7, 365-day-a-year operation. It was a daunting task, but the potential for positive change fueled my determination. Today, I’m incredibly proud to witness the growth of this project, which continues to inspire countless individuals to share kindness and make a difference in their communities.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Founding a non-profit organization, especially at the age of 17, has presented numerous challenges. One of the most significant hurdles has been gaining the trust and respect of others. Whenever I introduce myself and mention that I own and operate The Share Kindness Project, a non-profit organization, I often encounter a look of disbelief or confusion. This initial reaction, though discouraging, has fueled my determination to prove that age is not a barrier to making a positive impact.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Share Kindness Project . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Our primary mission is to foster a world characterized by kindness and compassion. Every member of our board and staff is wholeheartedly dedicated to achieving this goal. We specialize in initiating acts of kindness, setting off a chain reaction of positive impact.

To further our mission of creating a kinder world, we offer a range of free resources, including coloring pages and downloadable/printable materials, to inspire acts of kindness. Additionally, we organize community giveback events to directly benefit low-income families, providing tangible support and fostering a sense of community.

Amidst the challenges and uncertainties of the world, we also host cooking classes specifically designed for adults with special needs, such as autism and Down syndrome. These classes not only provide practical skills but also create a supportive and inclusive environment for participants to connect with others and develop a sense of accomplishment.

What matters most to you?
My life is enriched by many important things, but the most crucial element is undoubtedly the presence of a supportive community. Having a strong network of family and friends has always been a source of strength and inspiration for me. In the past, when I felt isolated or unsupported, my motivation waned. However, I now recognize the incredible support system I have, filled with individuals who genuinely care about my well-being and root for my success.
