Inspiring Conversations with Sarah Stein of Sacred Solutions LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Stein.

Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Sarah Stein and I am a Co-creator of Ecstatic Dance Lansing! What got me here, will take us back about 2 years! This is quite the long story, so bear with me! It was spring 2022, I started feeling extremely overwhelmed, frustrated and angry with my life, so i decided to get help and started therapy at LiveWell, where I found Meaghan of The Goddess Goals LLC’s movement medicine classes! Her somatic therapy techniques changed my life, and helped light up my spark again! At the time, I was a full time childcare teacher, and realized I was burnt out, drained, exhausted from the 9-5 life! Constantly pouring into others, and not myself. After going through some online coaching programs (Vocal Activation & Juicy Feminine Leadership) I had made the hard decision to leave that life behind. I became a certified groove fitness instructor and was on slate to become a real estate agent. Until January 6th, 2023 hit, one week left as a full time teacher and I had a huge medical scare! I was at work on a Friday afternoon, my co teacher was on her lunch break, and next thing I know I am waking up off the floor! No one was quite sure what happened, I was by myself at the time. So later that evening I went to the ER to make sure I didn’t hurt my head and see why I may have passed out. Shortly after settling in the ER, I started having a grand mal seizure. Long story short, after some testing was done, I was diagnosed with epilepsy and told it was not a satisfying diagnosis as they do not know why people have seizures 9 times out of 10. Hearing this can feel quite scary, but this medical scare actually has saved my life. Because of my complex brain (which many many people can relate to this, even if you don’t have seizures!) I am constantly reminded to take things slow. Pour energy into my body, my health and my soul. Keep in mind, in the state of Michigan you cannot drive for 6 months after having a seizure, talk about full on surrender mode! It was a challenge to have to ask for so much help, and in forever grateful for that lesson. Little did I know this was only the beginning! I became a certified life & health coach to add to my tool bucket, and continued teaching my GROOVE classes as much as I could until I was able to drive again! Summer of 2023 is when massage therapy was brought to my attention! I toured 2 different programs and joined the massage therapy cohort at LCC in August of 2023! During my year of schooling, I was met with more challenges than I ever expected. I shed old patterns, a relationship, a home, from the outside it may have looked like I was loosing everything. In reality, I was gaining so much more. Finishing my massage therapy schooling this summer was a huge accomplishment and it taught me so much about the body’s unique and intricate nature. I was stepping into a new form of leadership and entrepreneurship! Throughout these crazy shifts and transitions, music is what kept me going! Ecstatic dance and the community it builds played a huge role in where I am today. Music is the absolute best medicine, especially when we have other somatic tools to help moooove stuck energy out. So, here I am today, quite literally manifesting my dream life without even realizing it! I am honored to be an Ecstatic Dance facilitator, and use dance/movement everyday for sacred connection. I could say a lot more, but this is a good summary start 🙂

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Wooooweee! This road is smooth, but definitely riding the waves! My biggest struggles along the way, and what continues to show up at times, is fear! Fear to use my voice and speak up for myself, fear of how others will feel or react, people pleasing tendencies, the intense overwhelm that feels paralyzing at times! I also continue to deal with debilitating menstrual cramping and chronic muscle pain. As a woman who has been trained and educated in womb health, I know that this is not normal and simply my body trying to communicate to me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Sacred Solutions LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is a massage, wellness and intuitive coaching business! I am fairly new to the business world, but so ready! I offer massage therapy services, and will be adding my intuitive guidance sessions shortly! I am also a DJ, singer and dancer. My vision for my business and myself is to combine the tools of massage therapy with the medicine of my voice and movement. There is no one trick fix for anybody, and I want to be able to support a clients WHOLE being. Often times, our physical pain is what manifests when we are holding onto emotions. They get “stuck” in the facial tissue in your body and need to literally be movedddd on out!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I was an athlete growing up! I was the caption of my high school basketball team junior and senior year. I also did competition dancing and local cheerleading until 8th grade 😆
