Rising Stars: Meet Daniel/Zachary Easterly of Detroit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel/Zachary Easterly

Hi Daniel/Zachary , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our journey with WeCannBe and the 40 Acres app is rooted in the vision of transforming communities through social finance and tech innovation. My brother, Zachary, and I, as co-founders, make up half of each venture, bringing our combined expertise and passion to create opportunities for underserved communities to access ownership and financial growth.

WeCannBe started as a dream to empower individuals through financial education, real estate investment, and technology. Over time, we realized that the key to real impact was giving people tools to invest in their future. That’s where 40 Acres was born—a groundbreaking app that lets everyday people invest in real estate and businesses through tokenization. We are turning traditional investing on its head, making it accessible, sustainable, and community-focused.

Together, Zachary and I are on a mission to bridge the wealth gap, one project at a time. WeCannBe empowers individuals to learn and grow, while 40 Acres provides the platform for that growth to happen in real-time. It’s not just about profits—it’s about building a legacy and revolutionizing how communities invest in themselves. This journey has taken us from humble beginnings to an exciting future where technology meets social impact, and we’re just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building WeCannBe and 40 Acres has been anything but smooth. One of our biggest challenges was breaking into an industry that isn’t always ready for disruptive ideas, especially when it comes to blockchain, tokenization, and community-based investing. Educating people on the potential of social finance and how they can benefit from ownership opportunities through tech innovation required a lot of groundwork.

Another challenge we faced was securing funding and partnerships. As a social enterprise with a mission deeply rooted in community impact, convincing traditional investors of our model’s value and potential took perseverance and strategic storytelling. My brother Zachary and I have had to navigate skepticism, handle countless rejections, and even shift our model to align with evolving regulations.

Despite these challenges, we’ve stayed resilient, believing in our mission to create financial opportunities for underserved communities. Each obstacle has only strengthened our resolve and taught us valuable lessons that we’re now channeling into scaling WeCannBe and 40 Acres into a revolutionary social finance platform.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
