Exploring Life & Business with Sophia Sarti of The Face Place Acne + Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Sarti

Hi Sophia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started esthetician school in 2018. I originally went to become a makeup artist. In high school, I struggled with acne and was bullied for it, so I got good at covering it with makeup. Once in esthetician school I got to experience my skin changing for the better and it inspired a passion for acne and skin health in me. After graduating I spent a couple years working at a chain spa and a medical spa before taking the leap and working for myself full time. I took extra courses to become a certified acne specialist in 2022. With my advanced knowledge on acne it became more and more evident that skincare on the market that was targeted to those with acne was extremely trying and over exfoliating. This increases inflammation therefore increasing acne. I began working with skincare labs and created my own skincare line, SartiSkincare. SartiSkincare is free from pore clogging ingredients and actually focuses on hydrating and lowering inflammation, not just drying your skin out. My acne business has flourished since

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m lucky to say it has been a smooth road. The obstacles I’ve faced are simply learning how to navigate the more business side of things like how to balance pay between myself and the business, advertising techniques, etc

As you know, we’re big fans of The Face Place Acne + Esthetics . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a licensed esthetician and certified acne specialist. I offer an array of facials for all skin types and concerns but I specialize and focus on clearing acne. I have an Acne Bootcamp program that’s designed to naturally clear your skin in 3-5 months and have had countless success clearing hundreds of client’s stubborn acne. During Acne Bootcamp we identify what your acne triggers are. These can be things like diet, supplements, life style, skincare, cosmetics, laundry detergents, etc. I educate you on how to live an acne safe lifestyle and set you up with acne safe skincare. When on bootcamp you should come in biweekly for an acne facial. This method has worked miracles for me and my clients.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was growing up in Commerce Township and playing with my neighbors outside all day. But if you asked me what my favorite childhood memory is related to my esthetics career it would be when my dad asked me to squeeze a pimple on his back when I was 5. The rest is history
