Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into photography began when my children were babies. I found myself constantly trying to capture every little moment, their smiles, their first steps, and even the quiet moments of wonder. I wanted to freeze time, preserving those precious memories not just for myself, but for them too. It started as a way to document their lives, but soon, it turned into something more.

What I love most about photography is the connection it allows me to form with others. I realized early on that every person I photograph has a unique story. Whether it’s a family welcoming a new baby, a couple celebrating their love, or someone stepping into a new chapter of life, I feel honored to capture those moments. Photography has become my way of not only telling my own story but also learning about others’. It’s the ability to connect, to see people as they are, and to give them something they can hold onto forever that makes this passion so fulfilling.

Now, every time I pick up my camera, I remember why I started. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about the stories behind them. Each shot is a window into someone else’s world, and I love being able to share in that experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey in photography has been relatively smooth, though there have been challenges along the way. Learning the technical aspects of camera settings and lighting took time, but practice made them easier. Creativity sometimes felt limited by equipment or location, but adapting to these constraints helped me grow. Networking with other photographers and clients was initially daunting, yet gradually became more comfortable. The digital era has made learning resources and editing tools more accessible, smoothing over many hurdles. Overall, the passion for photography has kept the journey rewarding despite occasional bumps.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a lifestyle photographer, specializing in capturing everything from families to weddings. What I’m most proud of is how much I continue to learn each day, constantly honing my skills to better tell my clients’ stories. My goal is to set myself apart by not just delivering beautiful images, but by providing people with the best possible experience—one that makes them feel comfortable, connected, and truly seen. For me, photography is about more than just pictures; it’s about creating lasting memories and genuine connections.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was the type of kid who always needed to be on the move, constantly looking for the next adventure. Whether it was playing outside, joining different school activities, or just being around people, I thrived in social settings. I had a natural curiosity, which led me to try new hobbies, sports, and creative projects. My outgoing nature made it easy for me to strike up conversations, and I enjoyed making new friends wherever I went, whether it was at school, summer camp, or family gatherings. I wasn’t one to sit still for long, always seeking new experiences to keep myself engaged. That energy and enthusiasm shaped much of my personality, even as I got older.
