Daily Inspiration: Meet Resilient Moms Podcast: Karah Ruczynski & Brittany Pearce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Resilient Moms Podcast: Karah Ruczynski & Brittany Pearce

Hi Resilient Moms Podcast: Karah Ruczynski & Brittany Pearce, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Brittany and Karah have been friends since high school, and they’ve shared a passion for helping others for as long as they can remember. Brittany’s journey led her into teaching, while Karah pursued a career in Human Resources, focusing on people, culture, and empowerment. Over the years, their paths intersected frequently as they navigated their own lives, marriages, and the challenges that come with being mothers.

Karah: “One evening, during a dinner conversation, we found ourselves deeply discussing the impact of trauma—both the kinds we’ve experienced and the ones we see around us. This conversation sparked the idea of creating a platform where we could share these insights, help others understand trauma and healing, and provide educational content that could make a real difference in people’s lives. That’s how Resilient Moms was born. We aim to pave the way for healing and growth in a way that removes stigmas and encourages positive transformation.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every business journey has its struggles, and ours has been no different. We’ve been fortunate not to encounter any major roadblocks, but the early stages came with challenges, especially around content creation. We knew we wanted to provide meaningful and authentic content but defining our vision and pinpointing our message took time. We dedicated time to a workshop session where we mapped out our short-term and long-term goals, aligning on our expectations. This session was a turning point, allowing us to move forward with clarity and purpose. While we are not motivated by profit—our focus remains on creating a positive impact and helping others—we understand that the journey will have its ups and downs. We’re prepared to navigate these with resilience, knowing the work we do has the power to make a difference.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Resilient Moms, we specialize in exploring and addressing trauma, specifically the journey of healing. We look at trauma from various angles—sexual abuse, generational trauma, postpartum challenges, and more—understanding that these experiences are interconnected and influence one another. Karah’s expertise stems from her personal journey as a survivor of sexual abuse, and she is committed to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and finding pathways for healing. Brittany, with her background in education and personal experience with developmental trauma, focuses on breaking the cycle of generational trauma, particularly in the context of parenting and child development. Together, we aim to bridge the gaps between these forms of trauma, helping our audience connect the dots and take steps towards healing. Karah says, “I am proud of the partnerships I’ve formed with organizations like Turning Point, Haven, Avalon Healing, and others, where I serve on advisory councils and engage in speaking opportunities to amplify our mission.” Our work stands out because it combines lived experience with professional insight, offering a holistic and authentic approach to trauma education.

What’s next?
The future has endless possibilities for Resilient Moms, which we have not yet nailed down. Eventually, we would love to bring the community together, engaging in person through small coffee shop events and larger retreats. Our aim is to create spaces where survivors and advocates can connect, speak, learn, and heal together. Karah is in the process of writing a book that shares her experience with sexual abuse while offering practical tools for healing, shining light on this challenging subject. Additionally, she plans to deepen her partnerships with local and national organizations to spread awareness and support trauma survivors. A major goal of Karah’s is to speak at larger events, including TEDx, to further amplify Resilient Moms mission and reach those who need it most. Brittany’s goals are to support moms in their healing journey through 1-1 coaching that focuses on somatics, nervous system regulation, and cognitive questioning to change beliefs, behaviors, and ways of being. She understands healing happens within community and hopes Resilient Moms can be that safe place for those to come together, support one another, and create lasting connections.
