Daily Inspiration: Meet Megan Trigg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Trigg

Hi Megan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a self taught braider that started at the young age of 8. I braided hair until I graduated high school in 2008 and stopped for 10 years. At the end of 2018 I started praying to God about finding my purpose in life. I was praying and meditating so hard that in 3 days his voice came to me and said ‘I gave you your gift a long time ago and you’re not using it’ I instantly knew what that was. I immediately enrolled at Douglas J. Aveda in Royal Oak, MI to complete their cosmetology program. I used my God given talent to open up ToriLee Studios in 2019 and I have been braiding professionally since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I can be an introvert so my biggest struggle in the beginning was learning how to serve different women, it ended up being easier than I thought. I have an amazing clientele.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in braiding. I’m known for my flawless execution of knotless braids. I’m most proud of prioritizing the health of my clients hair before anything. What set me apart from others is my old school approach. I include shampoo services and hair with all my styles, I also offer treatments and trims to ensure you are getting the perfect protective style.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is playing basketball, I’m a tomboy at heart and I always been passionate about sports.
