Check Out Yvonne Holt’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yvonne Holt

Hi Yvonne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
On Mothers day, May 2000, my daughter Aniya, passed away. I felt my story was unique surrounding her death, I was inspired to share it in my first published book, “Deliverance Shall Come.” Many shared they were inspired by my story. I enjoyed using my words to create a Happy and Peaceful feeling inside others despite the dismal situation. I thought how many other people need help telling their story. I wanted to help.

In 2012, Vision Creations was born, as well as my signature name, Yvonne “theCreativePoet.”

Although I was excited about the launch it was too soon. Technology was evolving in the world fast. And although I had a good plan, unfortunately it wasn’t good enough. I was using my own money and still raising a family as a single parent, divorced, going to school while trying to work two additional part time jobs.

I had a family crisis happen. My family and I experienced a literal nightmare that changed our lives forever. We became homeless, and lost even more, BUT, we survived, got back on our feet and tried life again.

I never stopped writing. I wasnt sure where to start locating grant funding to support my cause. I didnt know where to began and to find out you had to spend money I didnt have at the time.
I wrote for hire. I wrote poems for Bereaved families, created monologues for special events, and I even sang at special events to earn money. God gave me this vision and I wasn’t going to let it die.

Today, Vision Creations is a nonprofit as of this year 2024. We are spending this time getting things ready to roll out and have people participate hopefully Spring of 2025 at the earliest and Summer 2025 at the latest.

I am awaiting grant funding, using my own money where it matters so that people will know we are here!!

I have donated to a few Organizations and given away 2 $250.00 scholarships to 2 college students.

Vision Creations will provide assistance physical and financial toward Board chosen participants to complete their stories of choice.

Our goal is that our participants will become Best Sellers.

My Vision is based from Habbukuk 2:3-4
“YOU write the Vision, and we’ll make it plain.”

The actual scripture, is “Write the Vision and make it plain.” It stood out to me because everyone has a story, but many aren’t sure where to start. Some are shy, they may not know how to read, write, or speak a certain way to convey their unique story. I’ll tell it for them. I’ll be their ghostwriter. No need to be ashamed of your journey.

Vision Creations is hands on. My Mom taught me, no matter what my thoughts, write them down and save them. This is a part of your journey, your story.
My Dad taught us when you work hard for it, you appreciate it more. It’s your work, you will be proud of it.
I know I was called to serve others. I was called to help others use their voice and share their story. I can’t wait to hear them all.

I also don’t want people to be taken advantage of and I want them to learn to self publish so they are able to do the next one on their own.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I shared previously, locating grant funding for a nonprofit is challenging and certain life circumstances delayed me in getting started. One of my daughters, had a life changing event and was away from our family for almost a year. She gave birth to one of her sons while away. I gained temporary custody of him until she returned. I had my own 2 children; a middle school and high school student, a 2 year old grandson, and a newborn.
My Life changed overnight.

The balance of life is something you learn to do, because you have to. Whether it’s because others depend on you to do it or you feel the need to stand strong in your leadership and move through life’s challenges; either way, balance is moving to the beat of your own drum with Gods guidance.

Close your eyes and imagine God leading you with a drum beat. You really dont think about the balance because you are guided by the beat, so you trust it and you follow him. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Many will not understand your journey but at finish some will applauded your excellence.

God is good and I know that because of his power in us, we were able to get through one of the roughest periods of our lives.

When God applaudes me, my job is well done.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer a variety of services. I write poetry, I am a ghostwriter, I create monologues (poetry to pictures and music), I write for special events,
special occasions catered specifically for the receiver (s).

I believe what sets me apart is my ability to capture exactly what my customer requests down to every exact detail. Ive been blessed to gain, “the reaction hoped for.” I havent had a dissatisfied customer.

I feel I am able to tap into the soul of the people I speak with and create with passion. I am mostly known for my creative and rhyming style. I specialize in poetry.

I am most proud of writing 12 books for 12 Mothers in time for Mothers day in a 3 month time frame. I wrote about 12 phenomenal Women, who have impacted my life and I was able to share with them individually how they are Beautiful, Strong overcomers.
My daughter passed away on Mothers Day in 2000, so every Mother needs to know how special they are even from the ones that had no voice to tell them.
I hope that at least one of my adult children will share the experience of writing with me so the legacy will continue.
I am also creating a card line “The Vine Collection” a devotional and other items I believe we can all use at some point in our lives.
Our website is being created and this information will be posted there. Until then you can follow me on Facebook under Vision Creations LLC. As I change and create new social media platforms, the updates will be posted on this facebook before switching completely.

I am writer of stories and I have plans to work with a fellow colleague, Brenda Darrett Marlow, (Film Fusion Production LLC) and create one of my stories into a feature film.

I’ve always wanted to participate in Spoken Word, It’s on my bucket list.
I want to stand in front of a crowd, with some of my friends playing their music (showcase other artists work) as I speak the poetry I wrote.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was spending my childhood summers with my Dad and cousins in the country, Dickson, TN. I had (have) great cousins who played with me all day long. We ran barefoot in the grass, catching lightning bugs aka fireflys, in jars (poked holes for air in the lid top).

We helped my grandmother with her garden. She directed us to pick the tomatoes or other vegetables when they were ripe enough all while my Dad cut grass and made sure we had a great Summer. We loved to play and sing all day.

September 4, I turned 57. I now KNOW, life was much simpler then.
