Inspiring Conversations with Brandy Jackson of 313 Cinnamon Rolls

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Jackson

Hi Brandy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
313 Cinnamon Rolls started when I started my vegan journey in 2021. Soon after, I discovered how hard it was to find good vegan desserts. I used to travel all over to try different desserts and more times than not, I ended up disappointed or bored because either the product wasn’t good (and it was overpriced) or the product was very typical. I missed the desserts I enjoyed like cinnamon rolls, danishes, donuts, etc, soooo jokingly one day I said, I should start a vegan dessert company… and here we are, lol!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has kind of led itself and I must say it’s been pretty smooth. Like with any journey, there are bumps in the road and of course, it causes frustration but I always remain grateful. I try my best to always learn the lesson in every interaction and accept it for exactly what it is. From there, I move on with the lesson learned; it truly makes the journey easier and enjoyable! My biggest hurdle has been balance between the business and my family. What being an entrepreneur has taught me is that balance is major! My family needs me, my business needs me and I need me, so balancing it all is majorly important to be able to push forward.

One obstacle we are currently facing is finding the perfect retail location. We started our retail journey in Macomb Mall which was the perfect location for that time in our journey but the time has come for us to adjust and grow into a space that allows us a better balance in life. We’d love to hear from anyone that thinks they have a retail location that would be perfect for us!

313 Cinnamon Rolls is a Vegan Cinntique (Cinnamon Roll Boutique) that makes the cinnamon rolls of your dreams! We started our journey in 2023 and have had quite the amazing adventure! All of our cinnamon rolls are vegan & nut free, we even make gluten free cinnamon rolls by request! We make all of our doughs, fillings and icings in small batches to ensure the quality of our products are always the absolute best. We currently have approximately 20 different Cinny flavors and they range from traditional (for our classic cinnamon roll lovers) to a range of cheesecake flavors like our peach cobbler cheesecake & some classics like our red velvet & sweet potato! We love good vibes and energy and look forward to seeing our Cinnafriends (our customers) every day!

One thing that sets us apart is that we’re vegan, there’s not many companies that are offering vegan cinnamon rolls and we’re about the only cinnamon roll company that I’ve known that offers so many flavors & in the creative way that we offer our variety of cinnys.

I’m most proud of the energy & love that we give to our Cinnafriends (our customers) the community & other small businesses. Giving back and providing support to others is our jam!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I would say traveling is one of my favorite childhood memories. I can remember a lot of the trips my parents took me on as a child and it really developed my love for traveling as an adult.
