Hi Latricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born and raised in Jackson, MI, I am a graduate of Jackson High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in communications from Michigan State University and my master’s in communications from Grand Valley State University.

I’m a seasoned marketing and communications professional with 20 years of experience spearheading strategic marketing, branding, and community relations programs/initiatives for for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including Amway Corporation, Experience Grand Rapids, and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.

As the proud founder and CEO of LTrice Consulting, I lead a full-service marketing consulting agency offering strategic marketing services including traditional and digital marketing, multicultural marketing, communications, brand management, creative design, and community relations planning and execution. We work with a diverse range of clients across sectors, helping them solve business challenges with creative solutions.

Among other accolades, I have been named a “40 under 40” awardee by the Grand Rapids Business Journal in both 2010 and 2022, and was a 2023 main stage MOTH performer.

In addition to my professional work, I serve as the Executive Pastor at Relevant Church Grand Rapids alongside my husband and Lead Pastor, Robert Trice. My passion for community involvement is reflected in my service on several local and statewide nonprofit boards and committees, including:
Samaritas Board of Directors, Grand Rapids Community Foundation Funds for Community Good Advisory, Grand Rapids Chamber Mosaic Business Council, Grand Valley State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Advisory Board and Women’s Resource Center Communications Committee.

On a personal note, I’ve been married to Robert Trice for 18 years. We are parents to three awesome children: our biological son Caleb and two daughters, A’Rayah and Olivia, whom we adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Our family also includes our beloved dog, Monte.

I’m committed to continuous learning and growth in all areas of my life, and I’m passionate about building meaningful connections and helping others succeed. One of my favorite quotes, which inspires me to think beyond what is visible, comes from Nelson Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it is done.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As I advanced in my career, often being one of the only or few Black women in professional spaces, I sometimes struggled with imposter syndrome. I felt like I had to work extra-hard to prove I deserved to be where I was. However, as I developed both personally and professionally, my confidence also increased. This growth helped me live authentically and celebrate the fact that I earned every position, project, and recognition I received, without ever having to downplay my achievements or authentic self.

We’ve been impressed with LTrice Consulting , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company LTrice Consulting is a full-service marketing communications consulting agency. Many of our clients have great business plans but limited team resources, and that’s where LTrice Consulting comes in.
