Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasprit Kaur
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Life has so much to offer… so why not make the most of it? My thrill in life is finding the next best experience! You can often catch me traveling to new places and eating at unique restaurants. I take it a step further to incorporate my passion for photography and capture the essence of my experiences.
I observed that there was little to no presence of Punjabi content creators in Michigan and took it as an opportunity to build something beautiful. With that, I worked to create Good Eats With Jaspreet which came to life in April of 2021! Combining my passion for exploring hidden gems and content creation I have built a platform where I share my experiences with those who have similar interests. After more than three years of pouring love into my social media presence, I am grateful for the growth and opportunities it has brought.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I embrace the challenges this journey has brought me, it shows me where I need to improve to reach my goals. I continuously push myself out of my comfort zone, because you never know what great opportunity could be waiting on the other end.
There are times when I have a creative block and struggle to brainstorm new ideas, I take that as a sign to rest and reset, which seems to work well for me. There are days I am in this game of tug-of-war to maintain a balance between ensuring my platform continues to be a passion for me and not burning me out.
I like to experiment with new videography and photography styles to keep my content fresh and engaging. Achieving this standard takes time and patience, but it is all worth it when I can bring my vision to life. I prioritize growth, and I am aware that without struggle, I cannot make progress.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am known for my social media presence on Instagram and TikTok as @goodeatswithjaspreet. My niche is showcasing restaurants, activities, and travel destinations in Michigan.
I specialize in curating highly informative videos and photos for my audience on experiences I believe are worth exploring for themselves. Some content examples include a weekend itinerary to a fun travel destination or a hot new restaurant they can dine at. I also work with awesome restaurants and tourism programs to highlight what they have to offer through the social media services that I provide.
The majority of my food content is centered around restaurants in the greater Metro-Detroit area and my travel content is from around the state featuring Grand Haven, Traverse City, Alpena, etc…
What I am most proud of is the amount of love and effort I commit to putting into my work. Working a full-time job, managing my day-to-day life, and still being able to produce high-quality content takes a lot of organization and time management skills.
What sets me apart from others is that I am one of the very few Punjabi content creators in Michigan. My presence helps to bring awareness of my culture and a relatable space for other Punjabis and Indians.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was spending summer breaks as a kid exploring the outdoors with my siblings and friends. Riding bikes, going to the park, watching our favorite cartoons, and eating lots of ice cream!! I cherish those memories as some of the best in my life.
