Hi Sarah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since 2006, I’ve cultivated a broad range of skills and expertise in the beauty industry. I started out in the large spa environment, where I learned advanced skincare treatments like microdermabrasion and dermaplaning, as well as certifications in massage therapy and microblading.
With a passion for delivering exceptional results and personalized care, I continued expanding my education in skincare and hair removal techniques, adding sugaring to my repertoire in 2009. I’ve always been driven by my passion for hair removal. From the start, I’ve distinguished myself through my exceptional speed and precision in waxing, as well as my comprehensive understanding of skincare. These strengths have earned me recognition and respect within the industry, allowing me to build a reputation for excellence.
After the pandemic, I decided to leave the spa industry and focus entirely on my passion for hair removal. The transition allowed me to join a local waxing salon where I could nurture my skills and build a loyal clientele. In just under two years, with a lot of hard work and dedication, I achieved my goal and proudly established Wax-Savvy Studio.
Since starting my own business, I’ve embraced numerous opportunities for growth within my field. One of the most exciting milestones was becoming a sugaring educator for Sweet & True Sugaring Co. last August. This role has allowed me to share my passion for sugaring techniques and the benefit it offers with a wider audience. As a dedicated educator in sugaring, I’m passionate about sharing my years of expertise with the next generation of estheticians, empowering them to provide the highest level of care for their clients. Utilizing cutting-edge methods and premium products, I prioritize skin health and integrity in every treatment, ensuring a seamless and safe experience for each client.
As Wax-Savvy Studio approaches is two-year anniversary, I reflect on what have truly been two of the best years of my life. I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished—building a business that not only fulfills my passion but also allows me to connect with clients I genuinely love and care for. The joy and confidence I get from my work is immeasurable.
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for my husband‘s unwavering support. He believed in my dreams even when I had doubts, and his encouragement had been the foundation of my journey. Having him by my side has made all of this possible, and I couldn’t have reached my goals without his belief in me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After 14 years of experience in the large spa environment , where I honed my skills in facials and massages, I faced numerous challenges that led me to re-evaluate my career path. Becoming a mother, navigating a pandemic, and working in a high-stress group environment took a toll on my mental and emotional well-being. Despite my dedication and hard work, I struggled to stand out in an industry where conformity often feels more valued than individuality. Yet, I knew I had more to offer. The desire to specialize in hair removal was born from my passion for precision, attention to detail, and the desire to help people feel confident and empowered in their own skin. Leaving the familiar comfort zone was daunting, but I was ready to break free from the mold and forge my own path. For over a decade, I nurtured the dream of owning my own waxing studio. Pursuing that dream and working for myself has been the most fulfilling decision I’ve ever made. The freedom to create my own vision, set my own schedule, and focus on what matters most – providing exceptional hair removal services to my clients – has allowed me to thrive in ways I never thought possible.

Wax-Savvy Studio, located at the Sola Salons Alpine Summit, is a hair removal studio specializing in Brazilians and Brow Services, bringing a down to earth feel. I offer a comprehensive range of services including waxing and sugaring for head-to-toe hair removal, as well as brow tinting, lamination, and now featuring Savvy Linx Permanent Jewelry. I focus particularly on women’s Brazilian services, which has become my forte over the years.
One of the greatest joys of my job is building strong, personal connections with my clients in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I’m dedicated to crafting an environment that makes clients feel valued, relaxed, and eager to return. By fostering a sense of community and camaraderie, I’ve created a loyal following of clients who appreciate the unique blend of exceptional service and personalized care that sets my studio apart. I believe in empowering clients through education. I take the time to explain each service and the importance of aftercare, ensuring you achieve the best possible results.
