Today we’d like to introduce you to William Carter iiii
Hi William , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my first year playing football with the WNA Seminoles last year( 2023). This was really my first experience playing football. I had just broke my wrist and was looking for a football home. My cousin Christopher Ruffin started with the Seminoles first and told me come to a game. Once I saw the coaching and bonds that were being created, I knew I wanted to be apart of it. I came in as a position less rookie with potential. I knew I could own a place on the field I just didn’t know where. Being strong isn’t enough. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. So I started putting in work, not just on the field at practice but off the field as well. Now I train with my dad and my other coaches as well. I’m just trying to be the best WC3 I can be. My first year as a Tribeboy we took home 3 championships with one being a UYFL National Championship . Talk about hard work, I was rewarded with rookie of the year. This year I set bigger and higher goals for myself. Striving to be bigger and better. At the Seminoles we care about effort, putting your best effort forth. My goal is to become ranked in the Nation as a top Linebacker (LB). I also started filming my trainings, highlights, as well as athletic content on instagram. My exposure is growing little by little. Sooner or later the world will know WC3, and not as a rookie.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t, I am constantly developing and learning as I go. I wouldn’t call them struggles but more so areas that I need to improve. Some of the things I am training now on for improvement is, speed, and learning the overall game of football.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a 10 year old Linebacker/ Defensive End/ Running back know for my ability to track down ball carriers as a outside linebacker. Aggressive and makes an impact on Defense the moment I step on the field.
What does success mean to you?
Making the people who love me proud.
