Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jason Frierson.
Hi Jason, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
How did I get started, you ask? I always loved photography and creating content while providing joy to people no matter what is going on in their lives.
My journey started during the pandemic in 2020 when things were tough, and I wanted a way to pass the time during those dark times, you can say. I started taking it more seriously when I realized I had a small but minor group who would like my photos on Instagram or tune in to my YouTube channel weekly.
Getting to where I am today, I am still working towards my goal of increasing my brand awareness and continuing to create content for people so they can enjoy my work without having to pay and just laugh at the content I post.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As they say, starting a business is not easy or smooth, but I always like to think of myself as a teachable person so that way I can always take feedback and criticism and learn and improve.
I’ve struggled a lot when it comes to creating content for my YouTube channel because I always want to make sure that the content I create can be proud of and content that can help people with whatever it is that they are going through.
Another struggle I have faced is that sometimes I get burned out by creating content, but I make sure that when I do, I look at others around me and get inspired again. I guess you can say that content creation is like a roller coaster at times.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
I would say that as far as my professional life goes?
I work in the telecom industry, and as most people know, it has its love/hate relationships. But what I am most proud of is that I can always make a positive impact on clients because no matter what they may have experienced before me, I want to make sure that they leave with a positive experience after me.
What sets me apart from others? I guess it ties back to always being teachable because I don’t know it all, and if I remain teachable, I can not only continue to create lasting impressions on clients but also my coworkers as well.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
What matters most to me is my family and my inner circle. I say that because I gain so much knowledge from them, and just hearing that they are proud of me or excited to witness my journey makes me continue to do what I do.
Also, being surrounded by my significant other just brings everything full circle because, without her involvement, what I do would not be where it is today without her insight. So what matters to me is family.
