Today we’d like to introduce you to Niya Williams

Hi Niya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started when I was a kid, with my passion for dancing, from there, I decided to expand my passion for visual art to photography in middle school & trippy drawings a year after high school. Since then, I’ve created so many different versions of my art, which then lead me to create my website, ‘MotaVationShop’! I created ‘MotaVationShop’ in 2022 with the intention to motivate others as I grow & share my art with the world. I’ve had so many fun, exciting, new & uncomfortable experiences that have helped me expand my passion for art in ways like fashion, different forms of modeling, vending at local festivals, working with different photographers & designers and jewelry making! it’s an ongoing journey of discovering self that I’ve grew to wholeheartedly love & enjoy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course it hasn’t, no road is one straight path. The obstacles were the ones that had to do with my self-esteem, overcoming depression & self-destructive/sabotaging behaviors, it had an effect on a lot of things in my life, even my artwork. Having to continuously overcoming artist blocks because my mind was always focused on things outside of my passions, messed with my motivation to create, kept me stagnant for years. In my journey, I’ve learned to start minding my business/redirecting my energy & balancing out home and work life and organizing the massive pile of creative ideas I’ve had in my mental space for years. Finding the balance became easier for me when I started prioritizing what keeps me happy in life, and my art is the centerfold of it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Outside of my 9-5, I’m a Professional Model, Multi-Talented Artist & an Aspiring Entrepreneur. I’m very proud of how much progress I’ve made & challenges I’ve overcome in the past couple of years, but I know there’s so much more out there for me! My protentional is limitless & I always have to remember, it’s all about applying yourself in every way possible towards your passion & goals to manifest that limitless potential.

How do you define success?
Success to me is determined by how aligned your living your life with your values, morals, goals & purpose. How disciplined you are with your health and taking care of your peace and environment.
