Rising Stars: Meet Emily Lewis

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Emily Lewis.

Hi Emily, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Kokomo Kim and I knew each other from another company that we were ambassadors for. Kokomo Kim branched off and opened her own business called Black Label Lipo, which was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas; I followed her and became an ambassador for her company. After months of being with her company, she promoted me to the position of recruiting and talent management executive. I oversee the recruiting of future and current ambassadors within the company.

While working closely with the ambassadors, as a team, we come up with different ideas on how to promote Black Label Lipo products while having fun. I enjoy seeing the ambassadors get creative with their content, stepping out of their comfort zone, and showing their true personality on the camera. I also have a partnership with Mochi Health, which was founded in San Francisco, CA, and owned and operated by Dr. Myra Ahmad, a telehealth company that specializes in weight loss management.

During my weight loss journey while on a GLP1, I found Mochi Health on TikTok and had amazing results of losing 70 lbs. Helping others get the resources they need to lose weight is very rewarding. While working with Black Label Lipo and Mochi Health, I have been able to expand my social network, reaching out to others who are in need of resources that both companies offer.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges I face are working a demanding job that requires 16-hour shifts and still finding time to make content. Also, working with different personalities and opinionated people can be challenging.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
I currently work for the Michigan Department of Corrections. I’ve been a correctional officer for quite some time, and I am looking forward to retiring within the next couple of years once my daughter graduates from high school. I am proud of having the courage to bring out my creative side and start making content for Black Label Lipo, Mochi Health, and any other companies that come my way.

I’m a very patient person; I don’t let others get the best of me, and that’s the correctional side of me that I am able to use outside the prison. Being more on social media, comments that are not the nicest don’t faze me at all.

What do you think about happiness?
Being with my family, creating content, and enjoying life in general. Working in my field, time management is very important.

When you only have two days off a week, you look at life totally differently and know that time is not on your side. Make the most of the time you have while you’re healthy because it can go by in the blink of an eye while you wish you did!
