Today, we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Morgan.

Brooke Morgan
Brooke, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I first stumbled upon a camera in college, I never imagined it would ignite such a profound passion. As a radio personality at a small university station, I initially dismissed it as a curiosity. But as I started diving into the world of videography and video editing, I was captivated by the creative process. My journey took me to film school, where I honed my skills and digested as much information as possible. It wasn’t just about mastering the technical aspects; it was about learning how to take written narratives into visual narratives that resonate with audiences.

After graduating, I leaped into the professional world as a Multimedia Producer, crafting compelling visuals for a prominent university. But the adventure didn’t stop there. I found myself drawn into government communications, where I accepted a role as a Videographer for a government agency in the State of Oklahoma. I’ve had the incredible privilege of stepping into truly remarkable spaces throughout my career. These experiences have broadened my perspective and fueled my passion for capturing the essence of these moments through my lens.

Now, I am engulfed in the freelance world, proudly representing BM Photo and Video. Every project I embark upon presents a chance to showcase my skills in videography, photography, and video editing. I assist a wide range of clients in amplifying their creative expression, crafting compelling narratives to captivate audiences, and fostering brand recognition.

Through this journey, I have realized my true passion is taking a creative vision from ideation to final delivery while using all production processes, especially my favorite post-production. Whether I’m performing photography, videography, or video editing duties, the opportunity to make a vision come to life is a privilege I cherish daily.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
You should know what sets me apart as a videographer and video editor. It is my commitment to authenticity, genuine connection, and adaptability. In today’s society, authenticity reigns, and I firmly believe that audiences crave genuine content that speaks to them on a deeper level.

When connecting with clients, I aim to create an environment of openness and ease. It helps people feel comfortable and confident, bringing out their true selves in front of the camera and throughout their everyday lives. As soon as we start our conversation, I want you to feel assured that I’m here to support you in every way possible.

Adaptability is another cornerstone of my approach. Whether navigating the corporate world or thriving in the freelance realm, I possess the strength to pivot seamlessly in response to the ever-changing landscape of technology and client needs.

One of my proudest achievements is my role in helping organizations express their voices and expand their reach through video production. There have been countless moments where I’ve been trusted with pioneering new video series, implementing workflow production processes, or simply communicating an organization’s story through visual storytelling.

These opportunities fill me with immense gratitude, knowing that I’ve had a hand in shaping narratives and leaving a lasting impact on audiences.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey had its share of challenges and obstacles, yet amidst them, I’ve found moments of joy. While it’s natural to wish for smoother paths during tough times, I’ve learned to appreciate the struggles of the past, finding gratitude in every season, even the stormy ones.

Being a Black woman in this industry often means being the only one in the room who shares my identity, requiring extra effort to showcase my skills. In these moments, I’m profoundly grateful for those who have taken a chance on me, both in my professional journey and among clients who have trusted me with their visions.

For those just starting in this field, I would advise embracing the journey, no matter how humble your beginnings may seem. Never underestimate the power of starting small because soon, you’ll find yourself standing exactly where you once prayed to be.
