Community Highlights: Meet Deanna Robson of Robson’s Country Store

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Deanna Robson.

Deanna Robson

Hi Deanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Robson Farms started in 1959. Dale and I are the 2nd generation running the farm. Two years ago, on October 6th, 2021, we opened Robson’s Country Store to sell Pork that we raise along with Beef from our friend’s cattle farm. We also carry chicken. There are other products that come from our family members, such as Maple Syrup, Popcorn, and Sticky Spoons Jam.

We do carry other products such as MooVille Dairy & Ice Cream, Freakin Pickles, Zicks Snack sticks, Snackasaurus Meat Sticks, and Rapha Roast Coffee. We also offer store space to local vendors that don’t have a storefront. Everything in our store is local, family farm-raised, small business.

We are planning to expand this summer with other items and diversity.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We started small, so things were fairly smooth, with learning along the way. We have always sold our pigs to customers to have processed for their personal use. That helped us to have a good idea of what people wanted in different cuts of meats that go into our meat case.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Robson’s Country Store?
We farm for a living, so our store is an extension for us to offer our products to the customers, “Farm to Table” Concept. We can educate our customers on how to raise our animals in a healthy environment.

So, they, as a customer, will receive a fresh and safe product for their family’s dinner table. We are proud to sell a quality Pork Product to our customers. That is also why we chose our store’s other farmers’ products, since they are also quality mind producers.

What do you think about happiness?
Being able to live in the country, raise our family on our farm, watching the 3rd and 4th generations working to keep our farm running and continue to grow.
