Today, we’d like to introduce you to Megan Shelton.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
February 12th, 2021, is the date that my husband Mitchell and I will always remember. Because of that day, this business even exists to begin with. I delivered a full-term stillborn, my sweet Sage Jo, on this date. We had constant support from our wonderful family and friends, who loved us dearly and filled our home with flowers of all kinds. The sad truth is nothing, or no one, could ever take away the pain that we had in our hearts.

It’s difficult to see the light in a dark cave. The hurt in our hearts worsened when the flowers began to wither. It felt like we were losing him all over again. At this exact moment, the idea came rushing into my head to frame the flowers so we could cherish them forever. It’s still hanging on our wall in the same spot from where we first hung it up. It reminds us daily of our love for him, which will last a lifetime.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like every business, it has had some bumps in the road, but nothing you can’t persevere through.

When you do what you love, you never work a day. We are so passionate about our business that we will triumph through anything to ensure success. It’s not just a business to us. In our minds, it’s our baby boy.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We press, preserve, and frame beautiful, organic flower art. We specialize in turning sentimental flowers into an everlasting art piece. We are known for our outstanding customer service, unique styles of art and frames, and, most importantly, our story.

We are proud of consistently trying to improve our processes, packaging, styles, and methods to evolve our business. We aren’t satisfied unless our clients are satisfied. Our story sets us apart.

People tend to trust us with their flowers because we understand how much love and sentimental value they hold from that special moment. So they know we’ll care for them as if they are our own.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I use TikTok to gain a lot of inspiration. Like when other small business owners speak passionately about what they do for a living and why they do it.

My husband has read some great self-help books that have deepened the connection of our relationship, which in turn betters our life as a whole.
