Rising Stars: Meet Dejuan Ford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dejuan Ford.

Hi Dejuan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today. 
I was reintroduced to the independent film industry in 2016; I began as an actor, I was cut from a production and decided to become an Executive producer. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth; challenges financially, work-family balance, etc. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an independent film actor and executive producer. I am known for my productions on the streaming platform Tubi. I am most proud of the opportunities that I have created for so many. What sets me apart from others is my versatility and work ethic. 

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I feel like at some point in life, you have to take risks to get where you want to go. I took several risks to get to where I am now, I worked hard to save money, took that money and invested into myself.
