My journey to founding Homecrest & Co. is one marked by a pivotal leap of faith. For years, I navigated the corporate sales industry, a world that taught me invaluable lessons but often left me yearning for a more personal and creative pursuit. Despite the security and familiarity of my corporate career, the call to follow my true passion was irresistible. It was a daunting decision, but one driven by a deep-seated desire to turn my lifelong love for home decor into a tangible reality. Today, as I reflect on that courageous step, I am reminded of the power of following one’s dreams. 

In every room, I saw a canvas, and in every piece of decor, a story waiting to be told. This perspective has been my companion since childhood, guiding me through the intricate dance of colors, textures, and designs. Now, I channel this passion into Homecrest & Co., where my mission is to bring elegance, warmth, and personality into every home. 

Running Homecrest & Co. is more than a career; it’s the embodiment of my childhood dream. Each day, I immerse myself in the joy of discovery and the satisfaction of helping others realize their home decor dreams. Through our blog and social media presence, I aim to extend this passion to you, offering not just decor but inspiration to create spaces that reflect your unique identity. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Embarking on this entrepreneurial journey wasn’t without its challenges. From navigating the complexities of an online business to curating a product line that resonates with our audience, every step was a learning experience. However, these challenges only strengthened my resolve, deepened my understanding of what our customers seek, and made me determined to provide the best customer experience possible. 

As you know, we’re big fans of Homecrest & Co. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
The idea of Homecrest & Co., LLC, and the Homecrest online decor shop blossomed from this deep-seated passion. I envisioned a platform where the charm of farmhouse home decor could be easily accessible, bringing a piece of my dream into every home. The journey from an idea to an e-commerce business was fueled by my dedication to quality, aesthetics, and functionality. 

Every product we offer is carefully chosen to ensure it adds beauty and warmth to your living space. A significant part of this mission involves offering unique specialty items, specifically sourcing from and supporting other small business owners, with a special emphasis on many products from Michigan. This approach not only enriches our product range but also aligns with my commitment to community and local craftsmanship. 

As a lifestyle advocate and content creator, I’ve embraced the role of guiding and inspiring our community. Sharing home decor designs, tips, and DIY projects has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals who seek to infuse their homes with a sense of coziness and character. 

This personal connection is further deepened by our focus on featuring unique, locally crafted items that tell a story and bring a distinct touch to any space. 

What do you think about happiness?
I find happiness when I can express my creativity and personal style, transforming areas into warm and cozy spaces. Engaging in this creative process is fulfilling and therapeutic for me. 

The comfort and beauty of a well-decorated space brings me a sense of peace and joy; I love seeing my vision come to life and knowing I’ve created a welcoming atmosphere for myself and others.
