Community Highlights: Meet Kimberly Johnson of Three Ten Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Johnson.

Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my photography journey over 10 years ago when I took Film and Digital Photography classes and instantly fell in love with the idea of freezing a heartfelt moment for eternity. Over the years of capturing memories for friends and family, I decided to make my career full-time. In 2022, Three Ten Studios was launched and forever changed our lives. 6 months after launching, I decided I wanted to share our work with more than just Michigan and started traveling. We have now captured many clients from all over the U.S., with many more to come next year. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were some learning curves for running a business; such as website building, contracts, and invoicing systems – that we learned and improved on along the way. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Three Ten Studios offers photography services specializing in lifestyle photography and digital marketing media. We have a passion for capturing families and couples, as well as branding for commercial companies. We try to bring life and joy into every memory that we capture and take pride in showing those genuine moments. We are proud to serve Southwest Michigan in addition to our travel clients throughout the country. 

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
It’s important to be flexible while staying creative with clients to ensure everyone’s safety.
