Check Out Susan Brochin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Brochin.

Hi Susan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
For 34 years, I was a classroom teacher in Silicon Valley. Teaching has always been my jam. I love the energy of the kids and their curiosity and potential… Upon retiring, I kept asking myself, “What’s next”? and so knowing that the Internet is my friend, I started taking classes, I mean a LOT of them. I also lost my brother to suicide. And I was a yoga teacher too at that time back in 2014. I ended up at the gym one day on the stair master listening to podcast and found the most amazing woman who taught a modality called The Akashic Records… Soon, she became my teacher, and so much opened up. More on that later… I also learned about the god Hanuman, who is quite popular in India and is all about selfless service. Where am I today? There is a lot in between… but suffice it to say, I am teaching people all about the Records AND using my endless curiosity to create a Meet the Goddess Facebook page AND a course. In addition, I co- wrote a book that was published on June 3 all about how to work in The Akashic Records. I also travel when I can internationally to various power spots and keep learning always. AND we moved north to Oregon to have land and expansiveness, and I grow over 1,000 sunflowers each year.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, but like most, we learn thru experiences. There were a few roads I did not enjoy traveling on, but intuition always leads me back on track. I was working with/for someone, and it was not the right energy for me. I left that opportunity early and learned. It was and still is hard getting my story out or even publicizing myself. I have a website because I thought I was supposed to, but it did not get too much traction. It is gorgeous, but not my way to publicize self. I am all about serving and love, and learning. It is all about just putting one foot in front of the other.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do a lot of meditation and gain skills in classes. I honor the way each person learns and grows and respects that we are all on our own journey. I think what might set me apart is persevering… and creating interactive ways of learning in my classes. I am constantly reading and gathering ideas that can help others overcome obstacles. I have resilience and a big toolbox…

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
Oh yes. I moved to Oregon without knowing anything about it. I am pretty intuitive and got a hit that it was time to leave the SF Bay Area, where I had lived since 1976. How I got the “hit” to leave and come here is an interesting story, but I am a great reader of signs. We moved here, and I still have a big life in the SF Bay Area, but cars have wheels, and I see old friends there. I think that the Universe and ourselves have a plan that we might not understand when we are in the middle of something. Another example is I ended up writing a book with a friend. The whole way it happened is still a mystery, and what I am in the joyous process of it now. This is another long story, but when the road takes me there, I go.
