Rising Stars: Meet Kamakshi Sridhar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamakshi Sridhar.

Hi Kamakshi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Kamakshi find inspiration in fragments of nature. Art, to her is the one of the most powerful mediums to give people a beautiful world to step into, even if it is only for a moment. The world she tends to create using paints and brushes is nostalgic, warm, bold, colorful, and full of gratitude. Sometimes, she feels that her art stories are too complex just like the thought clouds. But colors and textures provides her a lot of opportunities to move around. Having grown up in coastal city, water. Waves and blue sky have always fascinated her. When life threw some curve balls, that’s when she leaned into art to heal. What started as a therapy slowly became her passion. It’s networking that had opened up a new world and given a chance to become a small business owner. With contentment and passion, she continues to sell her paintings through social media and local art fairs…

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
She chose professional guidance and marketing courses to improve her skills. And feels that was one the best decisions towards a rewarding art career. She also feels that creating consistently helps to connect with art much better and learn the nitty-gritty of marketing too…

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
She works full-time as an engineering professional. Art finds her whenever she chooses to relax. ” It strengthens my bond with nature and helps me to unwind. I am extremely proud of my perseverance to learn a new style, explore a new medium and stay abreast of the marketing trends,” she says.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
She love these tall trees, endless trails, long lakes, beautiful beaches, and everything about this warm city. Wishes we had early spring and long summers.
