Check Out Brenda Sanders’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Sanders.

Hi Brenda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
How I Discovered My Calling

Retirement is supposed to be a time of relaxation, a time to enjoy the fruit of your labor. But for me, it was a time of confusion. After retiring from my corporate job back in September 2022, I found myself lost and seeking my true purpose. I began to deep dive into the Bible and pray day in and day out which led me to Ministry School.

I enrolled in Christian Leaders Institute, where I began taking tuition-free courses where I received my credentials as a Licensed Wedding Officiant and Pre-marital Counselor. This gave me a sense of newfound purpose, however, I felt in my spirit that there was something more that I should be doing. I later took a spiritual gifts assessment, and there it was my purpose! Praise God.

Now knowing my spiritual gifts. A vision began to form in my mind. I wanted to create a business that would allow me to bless others with my gifts while also spreading the love of Christ.

As I began to flesh out this vision, I realized that I wanted to start a business that would revolve around something that I enjoy, where I am able to utilize my spiritual gifts every day, glorify God, and ultimately allow me to serve and encourage his people who are building kingdom ministries.

And so, I spent countless hours online doing tons of research, watching YouTube videos, scouring Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and officially launched Abundant Grace and Favor “AGF” Ministry Virtual Assistance my Faith-based Virtual Administrative Support Business. I created social media accounts, designed a website, and created freelancer profiles on multiple platforms, and the projects began to roll in.

Starting a business is never easy, especially when you’re starting from scratch. There were countless obstacles along the way, from finding the right platform to offer my services to navigating the legalities of starting a business. But with each challenge, I leaned on God’s guidance and found the strength to persevere.

Finally, after months of hard work and putting myself out there, I’ve finally reached a point where I now feel fulfilled knowing that God is the core of my business, it is anointed, and that it is driven by the Holy Spirit. My clients all seem to love my work, but more importantly, they love the message behind my business and the services that I provide to make their lives easier.

As my business grows, I find that I’m not only fulfilling my own calling but also helping others to find their own. Looking back on my journey, I realize that retirement was not an end but a beginning. It was a chance for me to rediscover my true calling and to create a business that would not only support kingdom ministers but, a chance to glorify God with my gifts. And I am forever grateful for God’s guidance, which led me down this path and gave me the strength to persevere and pursue my purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There were several obstacles in the beginning, however, I had to step back and remember my why. I was seeking my purpose and leaning on God’s guidance which caused the enemy to attack. He definitely tried to manipulate my thoughts by filling my head with self-doubt and confusion. I had to really tap in with God and get in tune with my inner prayer warrior and pray for God to give me the strength to persevere. This is now not just a part of my testimony, but I’m able to share my story with other kingdompreneurs and be a vessel of encouragement and show them that with faith and perseverance, anything is possible.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

What do you think about luck?
I firmly believe that luck is not the key to success. Instead, it is through our faith in God and his plan for our lives that we can achieve greatness.

Through prayer, obedience, and trust, we can tap into the infinite potential of our faith and accomplish incredible things.

When we trust in God’s plan, we can find peace and comfort in knowing that everything happens for a reason. Even in the face of adversity, we can rest assured that God has a purpose for our struggles and will use them for our benefit.

By seeking to grow in our faith and trust in God’s plan, we can live a life of purpose and fulfillment.
