Founded in 2022 by Bionca Abbod, a licensed Esthetician from the Michigan College of Beauty, certified HydraFacial and Halotherapy Specialist, and former Esthetician at Bladed Brows, took her desire to help you look and feel your best a step further by opening Macomb County’s first salt spa, Soulbris Salt Spa.
The idea for the salt spa came when Bionca became interested in learning about natural ways to enhance her well-being. She sought out dry salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, and infrared sauna treatments as ways to help. They helped reduce stress and increased her energy. Her passion for halotherapy took off from there, and she is on a mission to help others make their well-being a priority.
Bionca believes that with every act of self-care, your authentic self gets stronger. She continues to learn the latest and most revolutionary health and beauty advancements to meet her client’s wellness needs at Soulbris Salt Spa.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Creating offerings that meet our client’s health and wellness needs would be something that was a good challenge! We pride ourselves on being a personalized beauty and wellness spa, so making sure our services, packages, and memberships match the growing needs of our consumers was and will continue to be our main focus and priority.

Regarding the actual process of opening Soulbris Salt Spa, we experienced some minor delays in construction deadlines, but nothing that we couldn’t overcome, and manage to ensure that Shelby Townships’ first wellness spa was opened on time.

I am a beauty and wellness entrepreneur specializing in Hydrafacial and Halotherapy- certified in both. I am also a licensed Esthetician.
I also belong to the Salt Therapy Association, which brings me the best Halotherapy knowledge, services, offerings, etc. to my business and clients at Soulbris Salt Spa.

We are a beauty and wellness spa specializing in recharging your mind, body, and soul with halotherapy, custom facials, Hydrafacials®, and scalp treatments. With relaxing experiences and enriching natural remedies, Soulbris Salt Spa believes happy and healthy were made to go together.
I created Soulbris Salt Spa to help people feel better by providing services to encourage them to focus on their health and well-being.
Regarding how I set myself apart from others, I believe my determination and drive to enhance people’s lives will always shine strong. I take the time to get to know each of my clients personally to ensure our services match what they need and receive maximum results. I genuinely care about my customers and their well-being.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The salt therapy industry is one of the few industries experiencing explosive growth in North America. The Global Wellness Institute states that the United States is by far the largest wellness market in the world, currently $1.2 trillion, nearly double the size of the second-largest market, China at $683 billion. By 2025, the wellness economy will reach nearly $70 trillion— a 9.9% average growth!
The rise of physical and mental diseases such as cancer, depression, anxiety, and numerous others has a significant role in developing the trillion-dollar health and wellness industry. The increased awareness regarding health and wellness products and services, rising government expenditure on developing sophisticated healthcare infrastructure, and the desire for healthier and more active lifestyles are several essential factors driving the growth of the global health and wellness market.
I believe that the health and wellness market— specifically salt therapy, personalized health services, natural wellness, a d rest and recovery-red light therapy, infrared saunas, etc.- will continue to grow at a fast rate within the next 5-10 years. Here at Soulbris, we will focus on expanding the company to ensure our services, offerings, and multiple locations serve our client’s growing needs.
