Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Shakkuri. 

Mike, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in this industry roughly 17 years ago working in pawnshops and jewelry stores; I always shared a passion for luxury watches and fine jewelry. I enjoy the trading aspect that comes with gold, silver, and diamonds. Friends and family have always come to me for help when buying or selling jewelry or anything of that matter. I’ve taken all my years of experience in this industry and have created something I can really be proud of. A new age “pawnshop” with luxury items, primarily focusing on watches and custom fine jewelry. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a struggle throughout the years. I’ve fallen, and I’ve failed many times, but I’ve always gotten up and pushed forward. I decided a long time ago that I wouldn’t dwell on negativity or failures. I strive to work hard and provide for my family. It’s important to me that I can leave a legacy, something positive and important for my children.
