Rising Stars: Meet Leah Hoffman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Hoffman.

Hi Leah, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My love for makeup began as a ballerina when I would apply makeup for shows and performances. After I graduated high school, I attended Media Makeup Academy in Chicago, IL and began my career as a makeup artist based out of Grand Rapids, MI. I began small doing makeup for friends and family for weddings, high school dances, and senior photoshoots. Over the years I began to build clientele through word of mouth and traveling all around Michigan and beyond. I then decided I wanted to be more than a makeup artist and to build something of significance. That is when Molla Beauty came to be. Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is my chosen Confirmation Saint, and her last name means Motivating Force. Over the next few years, I began developing a cosmetic line with the intention of helping women feel beautiful and confident so that they are able to be the best versions of themselves, achieve their goals and ultimately be a motivating force in all that they do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, I have had a wonderful journey developing my business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a traveling makeup artist and the founder of Molla Beauty. Specializing in natural glam and cosmetics, am known for creating makeup looks that make women feel not only beautiful but also like the best version of themselves. I am proud of the impact I have made on each woman who has sat in my makeup chair. I strive to set myself apart by being able to make women feel the beauty they already possess. I pride myself on being able to connect with each client and deliver a look that exceeds their expectations. I am extremely grateful that I am able to use my gifts and abilities to bring joy to others.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is making others feel special and supported. This is important to me because I know when someone feels special and supported, they are able to truly be themselves and with that are able to reach their potential.
