Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Adams. 

Hi Cheyenne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
2 years ago, right before the pandemic, I was trying to figure out how I could incorporate my drawings onto t-shirts. I am an artist and big t-shirt lover. I did all kinds of research and decided that I could make t-shirts myself. It seemed so simple and easy, so I began to practice and try out different things. I purchased all the things I needed to start and realized it was not at all easy. The pandemic hit. And I was stuck at home to work on my new craft. The holy spirit was truly my help, giving my ideas and helping me with trial and error. It was extremely hard. But on May of 2021, I launched Destination Heaven, Destinationheavencustoms.com. since I have launched, I have not had much traffic on my site, but I have been doing tons of custom orders for customers. Family reunions, school events, birthdays, girls’ trips, and so much more. I am so thankful for the business because I am continuing to learn and grow and build my business. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, I have made many mistakes found myself up all night, learning and working, and praying hard. One of my biggest struggles was getting over the voices and opinions of others. I held back a lot because of thus. BUT I thank God for deliverance. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I have been an artist my entire life; I love to draw and paint. Thus was my original reason for my t-shirts. Everything on my site is created by me and the designs you see. We’re hand drawn by me. I specialize in drawing black woman, and one thing that I love to capture is a black woman’s hair. All of my shirts are faith based and inspirational. It’s who I am, and I want all my products to display that. 

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Abandoning what people say and fully accepting what God says.
